Post Nasal Drip
Just when you think it can't get any more disgusting...
Solomon's nose has suddenly gotten worse, thicker, yuckier, as you can see by that photo he took of himself. Last night he started coughing due to post nasal drip while lying down trying to sleep. Now when this happens you can place bets on when he's going to vomit. I was betting on earlier rather than later, Jon bet on later in the night. He gave him some benedryl to help dry him out and help him sleep. He went to sleep successfully, Margo went to sleep with out a hitch. We had a new thing of ice cream in the freezer, life is good, right?
At 11:30 Margo woke up, I went o nurse her back to sleep and get ready for bed. Before getting ready for bed I decided I check on Solomon- thought of him puking in his sleep and choking on his vomit entered my head. Well as I opened the door to his room the aroma about knocked me over. Yes, he has vomited, I turned the light on to assess the damage (and make sure he was still alive). Still breathing, curled up like a little cat around his puddle of stomach contents. Sort of sweet really, but smelly and messy.
Time to get Jon to help... some how having someone else help you change bed sheets in the middle of the night and clean vomit out of a sleepy kid's hair makes it seem more manageable.
And then of course Margo woke back up...
What I want to know, do other kids do this? Or only mine?
Well, I wonder what today has in store?
