Procrastination

So many, many things to do before going on vacation this Monday and here I sit drinking a cold cup of coffee and procrastinating. Okay, so I did manage to get the car loaded up with some unwanted crap to take to the Goodwill when Margo gets up from her nap. Yeah for me. I really should sit down and make a list of the stuff I want to get taken care of. Tonight I'm going to cut out the material for a skirt I've been meaning to make since last Summer. It's easy and shouldn't take long, I would like to take it to Hawaii, especially since I've decided to give up on shorts. There's just something I don't like about myself in shorts. Maybe it's the relatively skinny legs and the wide ass, it makes me look like I have a big square block around my bottom. At least that's how I feel. Any way on a more positive note I took a chance and ordered a couple of things from Sierra Trading Post and ended up with a pair of crop pants that I really like, I think they are good ass pants too- meaning my behind doesn't look so bad in them. I kind of wish I had ordered two pairs! Oh well. Off we go on Monday and I'll just make due with what I have. There's a washer and dryer in the condo, so we plan on packing light any way. Speaking of packing... I could be doing that. I also need to swing by Artco and pick up some size 4 and 5 knitting needles to take with me, print out the instructions for the sweater I'm going to attempt to make and get all that stuff together and ready to go. This will be my first attempt at something that involves increasing and decreasing... can I pull it off???? I sure hope so. I bought the yarn down in Olympia at Canvas Works, very cool place, sunny and spacious. I got a bamboo/wool blend. Very nice and it didn't break the bank.. too much. I think I spent around $35 on the yarn but I figure this is a special sweater for Margo. Hey, I saw in the paper this morning that a yarn shop is moving into Freight House Square. Very cool. I'm really into the idea of knitting up some bags and felting them. I printed out instructions for one that is done on circular needles that looks very easy. Maybe I should bring the stuff to do that with me as well so I can switch off when I get tired of working on the sweater?
Hmmmm... My messy kitchen is calling me. Four year old is no longer whining and is playing happily and I have about a half an hour before Margo gets up from her nap, so, yes, cleaning kitchen would be the sensible thing to do!
