I over heard Margo trying to help Sollie get dressed this morning. She picked out a pair of shorts for him and was trying to get him to wear them. She said, "they're nice Sollie, Mama made you". Meaning that I made them for him, which I did. Of course he wanted nothing to do with them and came and complained to me that Margo was bothering him.
Sollie went to his morning day camp this morning and Margo and I tackled the playroom, which had gotten completely out of hand while Rosie was visiting. So I feel like I accomplished something today. Although I invited some friends over for dinner tonight, so I need to accomplish much more!
I had the idea the other day to make a doll for Margo. I was talking to someone who's daughter has coloring slightly out of the norm. Her daughter has dark hair and blue eyes and Margo has very dark brown eyes and blond hair, so you can't find pre-made dolls with that coloring scheme. So the other night a light bulb sort of went off and I thought, you know I've been so crafty lately I bet I could make her something, in fact I bet there's kits out there. I went to a Waldorf doll site and yes there are kits and they are reasonably priced! Voila! http://joyswaldorfdolls.com/
So the package came in the mail today and now all I have to do is make it :0 My plan is to have it done for her for her 2nd B-day. I also got the clothes pattern to make clothes for the doll. So I'm kind of excited and a little nervous about that. I'll have to take some pictures and chart my progress.
And that 's what we've been up to!
