Margo's haircut

Margo has been wanting to get her hair cut for a couple of weeks. She wanted to get it cut, "short, like a boy's" but we compromised on this. After the intial shock I'm starting to like it. Of course it hardly every looks like this- this is right after getting it cut and styled. It's a little edgier looking on most days coming forward in a messier way. I need to get a picture of the back, it's very short in the back.

Here's Solomon in his new ski helmet and goggles. Jon has been taking him to ski lessons on Sundays. He has really taken off physically recently. He's already bored with the bunny hill. We also took the training wheels off his bike and he was riding around without them in a day! He's still an excellent swimmer. He was moved up in his homeschool swim class and is now keeping up with older boys.
Part of our homeschool curriculum has been to work on strenghing his core or "navel radiation" as it's called in Enki. Solomon has always been a little slower and clumsier than other boys his age. I even took him to a specialist at one point to check out his gait. I'll never know for sure if it's just his age or if the focus on naval radiation exercises has helped ( no control subject :) But I'm glad he seems more confident in his body.

Today we went on a "field trip" after doing our morning story. Solomon asked to go bowling. So we took the bus up to the Proctor district, Uncle Chris joined us even. We all had a fun time bowling and then went and had some pizza for lunch before riding the bus back home.

Hi Kassi! How fun to be so close to skiing. Being in Texas, my kids don't even know what snow is like. :( Glad to have found your blog. We're Enki homeschoolers, too!
