Public School, Day Two

Today is Solomon's second day at public school. I didn't get much out of him last night, he was all talked out. Which will be a problem, considering his ability to talk and listen is limited. I told him he got a reprieve last night but that in the future he is going to be expected to tell us a little about his day at school.
His teacher seems like a good fit for him, especially since she has two little boys of her own. Yesterday before heading back home after dropping him off, I peeked in the classroom and they were stretching! He did manage to communicate enough after getting home yesterday to tell us he had three recesses and a snack; all good signs.
He was acting a little bizarre and stressed out yesterday. He was repeatedly making loud noises and purposely pestering Margo and then saying, "no" when I asked him to do something. I think he had had enough of reigning in his impulses and doing what adults told him to do. This will also be a problem. How can I give him some free space at the end of the day to unwind and come back to us? Do we need to spend some time at the playground every day after school, maybe go for a long bike ride? Are there enough hours in the day to fit everything in?
Hopefully he'll get used to interacting socially like this and it won't be so stressful for him after a while! I just keep telling myself this is just an experiment, if it doesn't seem to be working for him, he can always pull him and homeschool him again.
