18 month "Birthday"!

Margo is 18 months old today! She has been cracking me up lately with her, "Hi Mama!"'s. Everyone once in awhile she'll just look up at me and say, "Hi Mama!". She fell asleep in the car the other day and while I was carrying her inside, she woke up briefly and said, "Hi Mama". It's very sweet. She's also been exceptionally cuddly as well, she likes to say, "Cozy-Up" when she wants to cuddle up inside me coat or sweater. She's a very cozy little girl.
Solomon, oh Solomon. He's been extra whiny and clumsy lately. We walked down to a school playground this afternoon and we were all having a very nice time when Solomon did something (I'm not sure what) walking up a play structure and bit the *@#! out of his lip. He started screaming and bleeding all over the place. Events like this seem to be par for the course lately. Two days ago he tripped over his own feet and scraped his elbow. Is he having a growth spurt? Not use to the size of his own body? What is going on? It's not like his clumsiness has ever really waned, he's been clumsy his entire life. I'm going to have his pediatrition check out his feet and how he walks when I take him into his 4 year check-up.
Okay, I feel like I should say something positive about him. But the truth is we are having a not so great time lately getting along. I just picked up some books from the library about raising boys.... Jon says, "you just don't understand boys", so I'm going to try harder and try to have a better relationship with him. I love the little stinker.
I'm looking forward to taking him to see Dan Zanes in Seattle this weekend. Okay, so it's more for me than for him ( I haven't been to a concert in ages and a 1 pm kid's concert is all I can manage right now). Solomon will have fun too (he just doesn't know what to expect right now, having never been to a concert, well there was the Wiggles incident but that hardly counts) and hopefully it will be on of those good memories that will last a life time.. right? Of course I don't remember much of my childhood before 7.
I'm going to try and get off my duff and post some pictures tonight.... or possibly this weekend.
I need to post some pictures of my bad ass crafty self dresses I've made. I've made Margo two reversible sundresses that are turning out very cute, if I do say so myself...
