On Jon's day home with the kids as Mr. Mom the alternator on the car went out on him... opps, guess I should have mentioned the strange battery light that came on the day before. Of course I had also just thought the day before, "this car is 10 years old now and we haven't had to take it yet for anything..." Bam, the universe got me for that one. Luckily the stoller was in the back on the car and Jon just walked the kids back from preschool. Also luckily he was able to get Margo to her music class and back because she seemed to really be looking forward to having Dada take her. We had a rebuilt alternator put in and it was really rather painless and much, much less expensive than a new one.
Jon lost a bet at work, so I dyed his hair green on April Fool's day. Fitting. He looks like a big 'ol broccoli head now. I told him to get a nice "Spring green" but this is just a broccoli green. He's been wearing a hat. I haven't imployed my hair-dying skills since college, it waa kind of fun. Margo kept saying, "purple" while we were dying it, so I think she has a color request in :-) I don't think there's any chance he's going to dye his hair again though.
Ugh, Uncle Chris is smoking again. He does it on the front step but the smell comes waffing in the house. The big bummer is I've even noticed the smoke smell on the kids, yuck. I just need to keep them far, far way while he's out there smoking. Unfortunately Sollie gets excited and wants to show him stuff and keeps opening up the door.
I'm a little obsessed with knitting wool soakers for Margo. I finished one pair but I had problems getting the short rows to come out right. So I started another determined to have this one come out perfect, so far it, much like the first one is far from perfect. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. One side turns out just dandy and the other side has holes. Any way, they are just diaper covers.
Margo woke up, gotta go.
