Margo's Waldorf Doll... So Far

I started working on Margo's Waldorf doll. I'm thinking it will be a good thing to work on in the car on the way up to Idaho (even though the kids won't be entertained by a dvd player.... :(
I bought the "Little Love" doll kit from: http://www.joyswaldorfdolls.com/doll_kits_and_patterns/13_little_love_doll.htm
I upgraded to the pre-made head, I figure if I ever do this again I'll tackle the head then. Things I've noticed so far: the little thumb detail is really hard to do with the sewing machine, so I did that bit by hand. The instructions also didn't mention clipping back after you sew , so there's not a big bump at the seams. I seem to have missed where it said not to sew up the top of the head fabric and it took me awhile to figure out why it wasn't fitting right. I did the added nose detail and I swear you can see the circle I drew "lightly " with pencil under the skin fabric, what's up with that? I even tried to erase it and I can still see it there. Really though, so far, so good. I'm a little scared of the face detail and the hair though!
I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow.
