so, let's see it's raining this week, and raining and raining.... at least I don't have to water the yard (not like I ever did any way!)
Solomon has been extra spazy and bouncy, so I'm glad he's has afternoon Summer camp this week. I've actually been getting some stuff done while Margo naps in the afternoon.
I have cramps, serious, like pre-labor cramps, what's up with that? I'm having a full blown, I'm depressed and I just want to eat chocolate period. So I went out and bought myself some ibuprofen and chocolate, some things you just have to go with. This is the first real period I've had in awhile.
I sewed up another sundress today while Margo was napping. this one is a gift for a friend's friend's little girl. She was looking for something unique to give her for her first birthday, so I offered to make her something. I'm making one just like Margo's Retro Rocket dress only one size smaller. I think it turned out nicer than Margo's too, since I've already done two now!
I also made a little circle skirt for Margo, which I think turned out really cute! This is the Favorite Things "Little Hip Skirts" pattern. Only I'm thinking of altering it and doing it again. Here are my ideas: Combine the four pieces of the circle and cut it out in the fold so your cutting out a donut (not sewing it all together into a circle), also do waist band on fold, so it's one long piece, if fabric allows. Cut two circles and make the skirt reversible! One side would be two of the same fabric (the waist band and skirt) and the other would be a coordinating fabric with the waist band the same as the other side. Does that make sense? I'm going to have to try and it and take pictures. I'm pretty excited. I think it's a great idea. If I do say so myself!
Our trip to Idaho was crazy, Jon had an ulcerative colitis attack and was miserable, lost 7 pounds and I thought I was going to have to drag him to the ER. His system has finally calmed down. Margo was also sick, running a fever and had no fun. It was 100 degrees over there any way, so the poor little thing just kept looking and me and saying things like, "it's a hot day mama". Poor little one! We did manage to have some fun swimming in the lake and at the cool pool in Moscow.
I found the camera, so I will post some pictures soon, soon, soon.
Now it's time to go eat even more chocolate.... yum.
