Blank Stare...

I thought of something else while getting dressed this morning. I took my first French for Travelers class this weekend. The teacher was very nice, a French woman who's been here for many years now. She was sort of going over the shops we might need while there and said something about baby formula being in the pharmacies not the grocery stores. Then she looked at me and said oh but your daughter is older, she doesn't need that any more. To which I said, she's never had formula. To which I got this long blank stare as she was trying to process what I'd just said. She finally said, "what did she have?". I just had to laugh a little as I said, "mama milk!". Wow, I can't believe that breastfeeding would be so foreign, especially to someone who's been living in Seattle for a decade! It just proves we still have a long way to go to combat the power of the formula companies.

There's been two interesting cartoons in the paper yesterday and today. Here's the links:

I was very interested in how she was going to follow that up....

Hopefully those work. If not, it's 2/11 and 2/12 comics at gocomics.com/stonesoup
