Published... sort of

O.kay, so I didn't get paid. It's like a long letter to the editor. They did print it the paper with a photo though, so exciting :-) Here's the link: http://www.thenewstribune.com/opinion/othervoices/story/277772.html
So far there has only been one response, positive. I was hoping to get more of a discussion going. It's a little sad to me that so many people aren't more upset the state of our schools. Especially teachers, they should be up in arms about expecting kids to do what's not developmentally appropriate for that age. And especially about being made to teach children how to pass a test. They have a union after all, they need to start saying no to the madness.

We did get a couple more hits to our website and a couple of inquiries. Hopefully we'll get a few more people at the next meeting.

At our last meeting L and S had it out about something and L is "out". It's a little sad but mostly a huge relief. I feel so much more optimistic with her "out". Funny, I think she was bringing a lot of negative energy to the meetings. I just wish we knew what her problem was. Is it just that it wasn't completely under her control any more? That we weren't doing exactly what she wanted to do? She really would have these little temper tantrums when things weren't going just her way. It's kind of interesting; I think she needed to spend some more time playing socially as a child :-)

Gotta go, Sollie's thirsty! He's been running a fever for a day, seems a little better today. Poor little dude.

My parents are coming today, we have a meeting with a sales rep for playground equipment and Sollie and I need to make a dozen valentine's cards if he goes to school tomorrow!
