Crafty Summer Plans

I really need to sit down and make a list of all the crafty things I want to do this summer, so I thought I would just brainstorm and do it here... here goes.

1. Indigo dye some reusable gift wrap like this

2. Get some votive candle molds and use my soy wax to make more free standing candles to put in old mason jars with sand in them and use wire to wrap and hang from our pergola... like this.

3. Get some tile cutters and grout, etc... and play around with mosaics. Maybe start by getting some pavers to tile and see what happens next...

4. Get some old frames and staple screen to them for making recycled paper. I have an old blender I got at a thrift store even, so I don't have to use my regular one.

This one would also go along with my desire to find and press flowers with the kids, we could add them to the paper we make.

I think that's a pretty good start for now. I also bought a new book the other day that I haven't had time to really sit down and look at yet, it's called: Crafting Fun: 101 things to make and do with kids
