Remembering Margo's birth

Solomon was running a fever for a couple of days, appears to be better today. When he wasn't feeling well he would ask to snuggle. Yesterday while snuggling together he started asking questions about Margo's birth, so I pulled out the photos and we looked at them together. He asked where the doctor was.... what a strange question for a homebirthed kid who was there for the homebirth of his sister! Where did he get this from? Were they talking about doctors at school and some of the things doctors do? Any way, funny kid. I just told them there wasn't a doctor but a midwife because birth wasn't an emergency and didn't need a doctor. We talked about the midwife a little and things seemed to click. He would go to the midwife appointments with me so he became pretty familiar with her. Any way, here is the sweetest picture, this is moments before Margo's birth, she's crowned here and this is the big pause before the final push. I can't remember what I'm saying to him, I think I told him I loved him and he was going to be a great big brother. It was so nice having him there! Maybe he was asking about when we went to the hospital for the ultrasound? (There was some unexplained bleeding in early labor but we got the okay to go home). Any way, it was taking a trip back to Margo's birth, it was such a nice time.
