Roasting Coffee in an Air Popper

A friend of mine turned me on to this. Since I like to try new things and do things myself, I thought I'd give it a shot.
It's ridiculously easy. There's a lot of sites out there that try to make it more complicated then I think it needs to be. You can take your popper all apart and put in a switch to adjust the speed of the fan to be able to adjust the temp. Well I just stuck some in and watched it. I thought about drilling a whole in the popper and sticking a candy thermometer in there to check on the temp but I thought I'd give it a try to see how it works first. No problems hearing the first crack. It's hard not to. So I don't think this is necessary. I tried a nice light roast at first because this seems the hardest to find around here. You need to wait a bit before brewing coffee with your fresh roast, so that it's at it's peak. I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning. I'll tell you how it goes.
