What I've been up to...

Coffee this morning, ummmm... good! So easy to roast and very yummy. I highly recommend roasting your own.

I have two meeting at my house this weekend. Should have done some major cleaning but I mostly puttered around and played with the kids.

Here's some links: The playground/ park project: www.buckleygulchpark.blogspot.com
The school project: www.tacomavillageschool.org and www.tacomavillageschool.blogspot.com

We are really close to getting the right amount of committed parents to hire our teacher!

I also did some research about some fun dying projects to try this summer with the kids. I found out you can get nice big silk scarves for dying at an affordable price from a place called Dharma Trading Company. Good for making "playsilks" They also have lots of shirts and socks for tie-dying.
I thought I'd try dying the silks with kool-aid, much like the yarn I dyed last year. I think I'll buy a kit for some shirt and sock tie-dying though. We are going to have some fun backyard/art/play dates for the school this summer.

Also planning on heading up to the lake with Sandi and her kids for a week in July, then I'll head down to Moscow to visit family for another week.
Jon won't be able to get any more time away after taking the month off for our trip to Europe.

Which I'm getting really excited about! Unfortunately in our attempt to not spend a fortune we just found out on of the places we are staying at a "gites" in the Dordogne region doesn't have towels to use. It has a pool, no towels though. We were planning on packing very lightly, so the thought of having to pack four towels is a drag! Oh well.
